Our Story

Our company was born within the University of Alicante after several years of research in the field of waste management and plastic recycling carried out by the founders of Fych. As a result of those years of work, three technologies were patented focused on increasing the recyclability of plastic products and improving the quality of recycled plastics so they can be used in high-value-added applications, thus contributing to the implementation of the Circular Economy in the sector.

Fych Technologies was created with the goal of transferring the technologies and knowledge generated to the industry and to continue using our research essence to provide technological solutions to waste management.

2019

IDEA

The idea to establish Fych was born, and between June and November, patent applications for deodorization and delamination were submitted to the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM).

2020

FOUNDATION

In November 2020, Fych Technologies was established as a company.

2020

ACHIEVEMENTS

Fych achieves notable recognition, winning the “Best Startup” award from Mares Circulares and the “Innovative Business Initiatives” award at the Gala Impulso (UA).

2021

PATENT GRANT

Patents for delamination and deodorization are granted. In 2021, Fych ranks third in Santander X Spain for best Startup and joins Lanzadera, Joan Roig's accelerator.

2022

PILOT PLANT

In January 2022, the delamination pilot plant is installed at the University of Alicante's science park. In April, the deodorization pilot plant is established in Tarragona, in collaboration with UA and Sorigue.

2023

DEVELOPMENT PROYECTS

Pilot development proyects with key players in the plastic value chain.

2024

FUND RAISING

Funding is received from the European Innovation Council (EIC) in order to carry out activities on an industrial scale.

2025

INDUSTRIAL PLANT

Investment plan in a 500kg/h capacity Delamination + Decontamination industrial plant.

Our Facilities

We are located in the Science Park of the University of Alicante (San Vicente del Raspeig), a meeting place for numerous innovative companies where technology stands out. Thanks to our location, we have comprehensive facilities that help us research and test new processes. We have our own offices where we develop our business vision, with a private laboratory equipped with the latest technologies in research, and a pilot plant that allows us to experiment and refine processes.
