Projects
We promote positive environmental transformation through innovative and sustainable projects that redefine the future of recycling, fostering responsible environmental awareness.
Our participation in various research and development projects highlights our commitment to the circular economy and cutting-edge technology. With each project, we reaffirm our commitment not only to the environment but also to the innovation that drives the future of the recycling sector. Here are some of them:
CREATEC (IVACE)
This program aims to promote innovative technological entrepreneurship, business diversification, economic growth, and the creation of quality employment in the business sector of the Valencian Community, supporting the development of companies whose activities are based on the exploitation of knowledge and technology.
Project "Mechanical Recycling of Poly-Aluminum from Tetra Paks for High-Value Applications"
Technological-Based Companies Creation Program (CREATEC-CV)
NEOTEC (CDTI)
The NEOTEC initiative aims to support the creation and consolidation of new technology-based companies in Spain.
A technology-based company (TBC) is a company whose activity focuses on the exploitation of products or services that require the use of technologies or knowledge developed from research activity. TBCs base their business strategy or activity on the intensive domain of scientific and technical knowledge.
Project "Mechanical Recycling of PET/PE Packaging from Films and Trays for High-Value Applications"
NEOTEC Program 2021. Subsidized by the CDTI.
Project "NEW RECYCLING PROCESS TO CONVERT MULTILAYER FLEXIBLE PACKAGING WASTE INTO RESOURCES"
File Number: INNEST/2022/109
Amount: €83,297.21
Funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), under the framework of the strategic cooperation projects 2022, with financing from the European Union of the Valencian Community European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027
Consolidation of the Business Value Chain 2022 (AVI)
The objective of this program is to support the development of R&D&i projects that involve the application of novelty in the products or processes, or in the organizational systems of the applicants, in a way that impacts or causes effect on other companies in the value chain, either because it leads them to innovate in their products, improve their organizational systems, or increase their overall economic activity. Likewise, the program aims to support projects that enhance the development and use of other key technologies to drive industrial and economic development.
Project "VALORIZATION OF BIOPLASTICS THROUGH ANAEROBIC CODIGESTION IN WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS"
File Number: INNEST/2023/357
Amount: €97,579.98
Funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), under the framework of the strategic cooperation projects 2023, with financing from the European Union of the Valencian Community European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027
VALPLAST (AVI)
The goal of this project is the valorization of biodegradable plastic waste through anaerobic codigestion with sewage sludge, obtaining a biogas stream to be used as an energy vector and a digestate with potential use in agriculture. To achieve this goal, the degradation of various plastics through biological treatment with sludge from an urban wastewater treatment plant under anaerobic conditions will be studied, both at laboratory and pilot scales. The potential effect of additives used in the synthesis of plastics (conventional and bioplastics) on both the anaerobic treatment process and the subsequent quality of the digested sludge will be investigated, as its main application is agricultural utilization.
Project "RESEARCH ON DELAMINATION AND DECONTAMINATION PROCESSES OF MULTILAYER FILMS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COLORIMETRIC SENSORS FOR SAFETY AND QUALITY OF THE PACKAGED PRODUCT"
File Number: INNCAD/2023/123
Amount: €107,119.40
Funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), under the framework of the strategic cooperation projects 2023, with financing from the European Union of the Valencian Community European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027
D2CO (AVI)
The "D2CO" project's main goal is to reduce the environmental impact of the food industry without compromising the safety of packaged products. On one hand, it aims to improve the recycling processes of lidding films in long-life applications through the research and development of ad hoc delamination and decontamination processes for multilayer structures. The intention is to reduce the amount of non-recyclable waste that accumulates in landfills, which represents a growing social and environmental problem. On the other hand, to optimize the design of structures for shorter life spans, sensors for monitoring the quality of food products will be developed. This approach aims to reduce the oversizing of packaging for these types of products, without compromising their safety and quality.
This project, focusing on a topic of great current relevance, such as the production of more sustainable packaging, and having a broad scope by covering different types of materials, will have a significant impact on sustainable development and the economy. This perfectly aligns with the commitments and strategic lines usually considered by packaging user companies.
Project “LASER-BASED RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY TO CLOSING THE CYCLE IN THE FLEXIBLE PACKAGING INDUSTRY”
File number: 101114349
Amount: €74,940.80
Funded by the European Union. Call HORIZON-EIE-2022-SCALEUP-02.
EIE - Horizon Europe (Women TechEU)
Horizon Europe's European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) are an initiative designed to foster an enabling environment for innovation at all levels, from the European Union to national, regional and local innovation ecosystems. This program aims to strengthen the connectivity and efficiency of innovation ecosystems to support business growth, encourage innovation and stimulate cooperation between innovation agents throughout Europe. In addition, it seeks to support social innovation, public sector innovation and business innovation, thus contributing to the development of more sustainable innovations and the creation of value from synergies with other financing programs, such as the ERDF.
As a consequence of Horizon Europe's EIE, the Women TechEU funded initiative arises. This initiative aims to address the gender gap in innovation by supporting women-led start-ups in the field of advanced technology in the initial and riskiest stages of their companies. This initiative is part of a series of EU measures to promote women innovators, alongside other initiatives such as the EU Prize for Women Innovators.
Project “ReMLP: Recycling Multi-Layer Plastic”
Type of financing: Combined financing
Amount: €2,297,531.98
Financed by the Innovation Council (EIC). 2024
ReMLP
The project has been selected by the European Commission as one of the 68 startups to receive funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC). This support will allow us to accelerate the commercialization of our innovative solution globally and strengthen our business with a solid growth plan.
The funding received will be specifically allocated to the ReMLP project, which involves the implementation of an industrial plant to carry out our three innovative technologies: delamination, deodorization and large-scale decontamination.
This project aims to increase productivity and validate our technologies through real pilots in established companies, including the recycling of multilayer plastic products. With this funding, we are committed to driving innovation and contributing to sustainable development through the implementation of these cutting-edge technologies.
Project "DEVELOPMENT OF LOW VOLATILE CONTENT (ODOR) AND HIGH RECYCLED MATERIAL CONTENT FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR WITH H₂O TECHNOLOGY"
File number: INNEST/2024/73
Amount: 129.622,75€
Valencian Community Program
European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
2021-2027. Funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) (IVACE+i Innovation).
H₂ODOR
The H₂ODOR project aims to develop an innovative thermoplastic material based on polyolefins, with a high content of post-consumer recycled plastic, free from contaminants and odors. This material is designed for use in the automotive industry, specifically for vehicle interiors, utilizing advanced decontamination and deodorization technologies. The project will focus on creating new formulations of thermoplastic polymers that meet the requirements for injection molding processes, while also optimizing pre-treatment and deodorization processes to remove volatile compounds. Furthermore, environmentally friendly solutions will be integrated into these processes, contributing to the advancement of circularity in the automotive sector and supporting the European Commission's new legislative guidelines on the use of recycled materials in this industry.
